Workshop Services

Bring a bat back to life.

CBM started at the repair bench — that’s the craft Craig built his reputation on. We’ll repair, refurbish, rehandle, lighten or restore any cricket bat, from any maker. Free appraisal first. No pressure to buy anything new while it’s on the bench.

Where CBM Began

The original craft.

CBM was born in the workshop and quickly earned a reputation for bat repairs and tune-ups — extending the life of many a written-off blade and returning bats to their former glory. The selling came later. The fixing has never stopped.

If your bat is cracked, dead, badly toed, ringing wrong off the middle, or just feeling tired after a long season — bring it to us. We’ll tell you straight whether it’s worth the work.

How it works

Three steps. No surprises.

01 · Get in touch

Send a few photos via WhatsApp

Front, back, edges, toe, and a close-up of any damage. We’ll tell you on the spot whether it’s an obvious yes, an obvious no, or one we need to see in person.

02 · Drop it in

By appointment, or by post

Workshop visits are by appointment — tell us when works for you. Out-of-area customers post the bat in; we cover return postage on jobs over £60.

03 · Free appraisal

Honest quote, no pressure

Craig assesses the bat and quotes the work. If it’s not worth doing, we say so — you owe us nothing for the look. Most jobs are turned around in three to seven days at the bench.
